Series XII: Commemorations and Historical Accounts, 1970-2018

This small series contains materials relating to the commemoration of the 1968 Columbia strike and post-contemporary accounts of that event. Flyers, correspondence, and clippings document the 1988 reunion of strike participants, as well as other commemorative events like the showing of films of campus. Articles from subsequent anniversaries are also found in this series. The files containing historical accounts consist chiefly of articles and newspaper clippings providing overviews of the strike events and recording the reminiscences of participants. There is some correspondence and briefing material compiled by David Stone and Stacy Ab in the Public Affairs Office from 2007-2008 at the time of the fourtieth anniversary of these events.
