This series contains the files from the Office of the Bicentennial. Materials are organized alphabetically.

Printed materials refers to press releases, programs, newsletters, menus, seating charts, newspaper clippings, invitations, tickets, as well as published radio program transcripts, journal issues, discussion guides, speeches, and even the history of the Bicentennial year. This series contains materials collected by and/or tranfered to the Columbiana Collection. Milton Halsey Thomas, the Columbiana Curator, served on the Bicentennial Public Relations Committee. This series also includes the Guest Book for the Bicentennial year and materials related to the special convocation in honor of the neighborhood's tradesmen and vendors. Materials are organized alphabetically.

In each Subject File, there is a page (or pages) with the dates and brief descriptions of the contents of correspondence pertaining to that particular subject which can be found in the Chron Files. In addition, the subject folders contain "selected materials helpful to an understanding of the details for a particular activity. These materials may be duplicated in the Chronological File, but finding important items relating to one activity assembled in one place is of considerable help to search and research." The subject files are in alphabetical order, with the materials in each file in chronological order.

This series contains files related to Rev. Cannon's campus ministry activities and committee work. The series has an alphabetical arrangement.

Arranged alphabetically, series three encompasses news releases, periodicals, publications, reports, and student group information collected by Rev. Cannon about the 1968 Columbia Student Strike.

This series contains publications collected by Rev. Cannon and deals with the political, religious, and social upheavals facing university ministries during the late 1960s. These publications, many of them rare, contain Cannon's marginalia and notes evincing the development of his thoughts about how to lead a chaplaincy in a time of great campus turmoil. This series is arranged alphabetically by author. If the author is not known, the publication is arranged alphabetically by either article or periodical title.

This series contains the records of individuals whose last appointment ended before June 1990. Appointment cards are organized alphabetically.

This series consists of images, arranged roughly alphabetically by year, depicting events and people associated with the School of Engineering from 1979 to 2008. Additions, expanding the date range back to the 1940s, were added to the end of the original container list and were arranged roughly alphabetically by year.

The recipe book is organized by topic and then alphabetically: Beverages; Bread; Cake; Desserts; Candy; Fruit; Jellies and Pickles; Cheese; Eggs; Fish (including shell fish); Meat (including Variety Meats and Chicken); Vegetables; Rice, Macaroni, Cereals; Soup; Sauces (including sweet sauces); Salad Dressings, and Invalid Dishes. After the table of contents, there is an alphabetical recipe title index, from Almond Hardbake to Yeast Breads.

This series contains photographs of student athletes, coaches and managers, organized alphabetically. It also includes negatives of some group photos, sports fields, campus events, etc.

This series contains postcards with photographs and illustrations of buildings and locations on Columbia's Morningside Campus. It is organized alphabetically by building or campus feature name.

Newspaper and magazine clippings, press releases, programs, brochures, and other printed matter relating to Columbia's sports teams and sports-related activities. Folders are arranged alphabetically.

Newspaper clippings, press releases, announcements and printed matter concerning email, telephone service, mail service, campus security, computer issues and Academic Information Services. Files are arranged alphabetically.

Newspaper and magazine clippings, press releases, brochures, printed matter and reports addressing the various aspects of fundraising efforts by Columbia University, its schools and numerous alumni associations. Files are arranged alphabetically.

An index card collection with participants' contact information and Assembly attendance. These cards serve an alphabetical directory of the Assembly participants over the years.

Arranged in three sub-series, this series consists of photographic prints taken of Columbia faculty, administrators, staff, students, campus buildings and features, classroom activity, athletics, and the libraries. These are mostly 8 x 10 prints but there are five 11 x 14 prints. Some prints are in color, but the majority of them are in black and white. All of these prints have corresponding negatives in Series II. Folders are arranged alphabetically in each subseries.
