At the invitation of Charles S. Davis, Chairman of the visiting Committee, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Inc., the librarian became a member of a team to Texas Christian University, Nov. 6-10, 1960. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the Self-Study Program carried on by the university and the quality of the institution's programs. The team's evaluation will be used in considering the university for accreditation by the Southern Association. The librarian was to evaluate the university library program. His report is included.
The Archives of THE QUIET IN THE LAND includes materials documenting The Quiet in the Land (1996-2013), an art and education project founded and directed by the curator and art historian France Morin. The projects include The Quiet in the Land: Everyday Life, Contemporary Art, and the Shakers; The Quiet in the Land: Everyday Life, Contemporary Art, and Projeto Axé; and The Quiet in the Land: Art, Spirituality, and Everyday Life, Luang Prabang, Laos. This work goes beyond the making of art to human rights and the meeting of cultures project that has great resonance in today's world.

The interview covers his childhood, college education, anti-war activism, the influence of Gandhi, and early writings on philosophy and animal rights. He speaks about meeting Peter Singer and comments on Animal Liberation. He discusses his 1983 book The Case for Animal Rights at length, including its writing and reactions from the public. He analyzes the activities of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). He also speaks about philosophy of liberation, veganism, and interpersonal relationships within the animal rights movement. Regan speaks about the March for Animal Rights in 1990 and memories of the day. He also addresses the founding of the Culture and Animals Foundation in 1985 and the state of the animal rights movement at the time of the interview.
