Biographical / Historical

The Quiet in the Land is a nonprofit art and education organization founded and directed by the independent curator France Morin. It organizes projects in the form of long-term collaborations between artists and communities that are deeply rooted in the rhythms of everyday life. These projects demonstrate how an artist's gift to open up new ways of seeing, to forge connections between persons from diverse backgrounds, and to inspire positive change might contribute to the process of reconsidering the potential of contemporary art as a socially grounded practice.
