Volume 14

Volume 14 Volume 14, 1919, 1921-1928, 1934

Manuscripts in document box, 919 pages.

Note on Numerations: There are 3 types of Numeration: Numeration 1 relates to the individual manuscript story page number, usually written in pencil in the center top margin or left hand corner. Numeration appears to be Hunt's manuscript numeration. Not continuous. Usually in the right top margin, written in pencil. Numeration 3 could be publication references, but this is not yet confirmed. Made in ink or pencil.

Most if not all of the content from this volume appears to be unpublished. There are editorial markings that are similar to the other volumes that were prepared for publication, and it appears that much of the material appears in a typescript papred by Boas's daughter Helene Yampolsky in 1946. That typescript is held by the American Philosphical Society as item W1a.19 of the ACLS Collection. https://search.amphilsoc.org/collections/view?docId=ead/Mss.497.3.B63c-ead.xml#Kwakiutl(Kwakwaka'wakw)
