The collection consists primarily of correspondence with the poets involved; several manuscripts of poems both presented at and eliminated from the program; some business correspondence of the Globe Playhouse Trust and Calder and Boyars, Ltd., Publishers; and Hampton's notes.

The collection consists of secondary source material related to the life and activities of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Lutheran theologian, professor, and participant in the German resistance movement. Mostly comprised of papers written for conferences of the American Academy of Religion and the International Bonhoeffer Society, along with conference brochures, correspondence, and attendee lists. Also includes: journal articles; seminar papers; dissertations; newspaper clippings; a videotape of conference presentations; and a variety of texts and/or recorded performances constituting artistic tributes to Bonhoeffer, including an opera, concerts, plays, and poetry.

The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, documents, printed materials and photographs -- most of which principally concern Fedor Shali︠a︡pin. There are twelve letters and postcards from Shali︠a︡pin, and one or two items each from Aleksandr Grechaninov, Olǵa Knipper-Chekhova, and Sergeĭ Rakhmaninov. There are manuscripts by Strakhova-Ermans, entitled "Vospominanii︠a︡ starogo professora penii︠a︡" and "Penie: Ego tekhnika i iskusstvo." There are photographs of Shali︠a︡pin in his operatic roles and with his family; and photographs of Olǵa Knipper-Chekhova, Aleksandr Glazunov, and of Sergeĭ Rakhmaninov and Aleksandr Grechaninov (with the faculty of the Russian Conservatory in Paris). Printed materials include programs of concerts by Shali︠a︡pin and others, and a copy of Strakhova-Ermans' book, "Le chant"(1946).

The Hu Shih diaries comprises six microfilm reels of diaries by Hu Shih, a Chinese philosopher, essayist, educator, scholar, and diplomat of the 20th century. Materials include in the collection are Hu Shih's diaries, which contain correspondence, news clippings, lecture notes, letters dating from 1921 to 1935, as well as the writings of Hu Shih's father, Hu Chuan, who was a civil official of the Qing Imperial Court.
