Correspondence between Elmer Ellsworth Brown, United States commissioner of education, and the president and secretary of Columbia University. Most of the correspondence relates to national and international conferences on education. Also, correspondence regarding efforts to bring Chinese students to the United States (1908) and copies of regulations for the 10th International Art Exhibition, which was held at the Royal Crystal Palace of Munich in 1909
This series contains correspondence, memos, contact lists, invitations, flyers, programs, publicity, newsletters, calendars, schedules, budgets, and other ephemera. Materials relate to the logistics regarding the planning and execution of the Centennial Celebration, including the convocation and associated dinners, the Dance Uptown performance, Barnard Performs! benefit concert featuring alumnae Suzanne Vega and Laurie Anderson, Barnard Collects art exhibit, and the conference, Educating for the Future: Ethics and the Academy.
This series consists primarily of press clippings (of reviews, interviews, feature stories, and profiles) and souvenir programs (playbills, season brochures, etc.) relating to productions that used Heeley's designs. The full geographic, chronological, and aesthetic breadth of Heeley's design work is covered in this series, with programs and clippings relating to opera, theater, and ballet productions in several national and international venues. This series also includes some press clippings about Heeley's non-theatrical activities (other design work, art exhibitions featuring his designs, etc.) and a number of profiles of Heeley.
Series III includes materials related to Jaffee's appearances in public events and in the press. Clippings of interviews with Jaffee and reviews of his work are included. Some material related to Jaffee's 2006 retrospective exhibition, "Is This the Al Jaffee Art Exhibit?" at the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art is also included. In addition, there are programs and other ephemera from panels, fan conventions (cons) at which Jaffee appeared, and comic arts industry award ceremonies circa 2000s-2010s. Publishing and commission contracts and related correspondence are also included, as is a small amount of documentation related to the sale or donation of original artwork by Al Jaffee.
Documents and a letter collected by Elena A. Popandopulo: a 1728 Italian military commission signed by Salvator, Duke of Sforza; a 1729 petition signed by Aleksandr Stroganov; a blank sheet of official document paper from the time of Tsar Nicholas I; an 1861 Russian document; an 1879 document signed by Tsar Alexander II; and a 1906 letter to a Countess Ekaterina Aleksandrovna concerning an art exhibit in the Tauride Palace.

While Schapiro is well known for his art historical scholarship, he also curated art exhibitions and exhibited art works he himself created. This subseries includes materials from an exhibit he co-curated alongside Clement Greenberg in 1950 at the Kootz Gallery titled "Talent 1950: 23 artists receive a showing under the sponsorship of Meyer Schapiro and Clement Greenberg." There is also substantial material relating to the exhibition "Meyer Schapiro: works of art, 1919-1970" held at Columbia University's Wallach Art Gallery which showcased Schapiro's own art work. The parties include: Fiatal Demokraták Szövetsége-Magyar Polgári Párt (FIDESZ), Magyar Szocialista Párt, Munkáspárt, Lehet Más a Politika (LMP), Jobbik Magyarországért Mozgalom, Magyar Kétfarkú Kutya Párt, Jólét és Szabadaság as well as miscellaneous other election and political materials including the "A magyar reformok működnek" brochure. The collection also includes five leaflets relating to art exhibitions held in 2018.
