This collection contains the papers and records of Sister Aisha al-Adawiya, co-founder and executive director of Women In Islam, Inc., documenting her various efforts relating to Islam, gender equity, conflict resolution, cross-cultural understanding, and social justice, as well as Muslim and Black community life in New York City, interfaith organizing for social justice causes in New York City, small scale Muslim women's publications (newsletters, magazines); and local and small scale Muslim newsletters across North America. Includes correspondence, administrative and organizational materials, published materials, mixed media, and personal materials.

Mark Gillette Lundeen (1941-2018) was a 1968 BD graduate of UTS who participated in anti-war activism regarding the Vietnam War, as well as civil rights and social justice initiatives including Freedom Summer. The collection contains UTS coursework; material related to anti-war organizing and resistance efforts; reports written by Lundeen documenting voter registration campaigns in Hattiesburg, Mississippi during Freedom Summer, as well as reports documenting social justice work Lundeen took part in under the auspices of the Delta Ministry largely in Natchez and Edwards, Mississippi; notes and supplemental materials from organizations including SNCC, the Delta Ministry, and the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party; and photographs and other materials that Lundeen compiled documenting neighborhoods and people in Natchez, Mississippi, towards producing a Natchez poverty report.

Marvin Richardson Vincent (1834-1922), Presbyterian minister and Union Theological Seminary professor. This collection contains a manuscript translation of Sophocles' play, "Philoctetes."

This collection contains sermons, correspondence, newspaper clippings, ephemera, and diaries of Paul Ehrman Scherer (1892-1969), Lutheran, UTS professor of homiletics, author, and an American preacher.

Hamilton Wilcox Pierson was a religious educator, President of Cumberland College in Princeton, Kentucky, author, and Secretary of the United States Christian Commission in Toledo, Ohio from 1843-1845. The collection contains personal correspondence, and also contains material related to his work on "American Missionary Memorial."

This collection contains records from an international ecumenical conference of Protestant missionaries held in New York City, April 21 – May 1, 1900, which provided a forum for missionaries to discuss topics including geographical surveys of missionary work, medicine, education, evangelism, literature, and women's work. Materials include conference program and register, minutes, stenographic reports, presented papers and reports, and a special issue of The New York Tribune.

The Chinese Church of Christ in Korea was founded in 1912 by American missionary C. S. Deming, with Cheh Tao-hsin as one of the first elders of the church in Seoul and Li Kwohfeng as one of his first pastors, to address the increasing population of the Chinese in Korea. The collection contains reports, letters, research on Christian Education Mission Schools, facts sheets on human rights violations, and other materials.

The collection is comprised of papers and reports on medical mission work collected by Forman during his tenure at the Christian Medical Council for Overseas Work. The bulk of the material deals with China, although some of the data is drawn from other mission fields, such as the Philippines, India, and Africa.

This collection contains the records of local and national committees and conferences established in China in 1913 to continue the ecumenical work started by the World Missionary Conference held in Edinburgh in 1910

Emilie M. Townes is a womanist ethicist and an author and speaker on African American women and the church, specializing in themes such as the oppressive forces of race, sex, and sexuality in the church and society. She has held appointments at the Vanderbilt University Divinity School, the Yale Divinity School, and Union Theological Seminary. The collection contains addresses and sermons, publications, correspondence, coursework and teaching material, memorabilia, and other related materials that reflect her life, work, and thought as a womanist theologian.

Ada María Isasi-Díaz was an activist, theologian, UTS alumna, and Professor of Ethics and Theology at Drew University. The collection contains lectures, correspondence, working papers, publications and manuscripts, sermons, liturgies, syllabi and teaching notes, conference materials, AV materials, professional awards, and other related materials from the files of Ada María Isasi-Díaz and related to her work with women's organizations.

Bertha E. Davis was an American Baptist foreign missionary to Burma from 1899 to 1931, where she helped establish schools. The collection contains diaries, address books, expense records, photographs, a copy of the 1946 Anglican Bishops Report from the Diocese of Rangoon, and other personal items relating to Davis's life before, during, and after her missionary work.

John Crosby Brown was a banker and a member of the Board of Directors of Union Theological Seminary in New York City. The collection contains correspondence, a program from the J. C. Brown memorial service, and a palm leaf Pali manuscript.
