Letters from Dean Rusk, Jean Monnet, Lyndon Johnson, Dwight Eisenhower, David Ben-Gurion, Earl Warren, and others concerning their being made honorary members of the Academy of Political Science.

Arthur B. Krim (1910–1994) was an entertainment lawyer and the former chairman of Orion Pictures and the United Artists Corporation. The correspondence, papers, photographs, and A/V content document the professional and personal life of Arthur Krim and his involvement with Columbia University and the Democratic National Committee, especially his relationship with President Lyndon B. Johnson (1908-1973) and First Lady Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Johnson (1912-2007).

Correspondence, manuscripts, memorabilia, photographs, phonograph and tape recordings, and printed files. Included are Cerf's personal correspondence files, 1929-1945, and the diaries and scrapbooks which he maintained from his school days throughout his active career. The diaries, in date-book format, contain terse notes on Cerf's meetings with authors and friends, on his travels and publishing activities; the scrapbooks contain correspondence and photographs, as well as memorabilia and printed items, and were annotated by Cerf and his wife, Phyllis Fraser Cerf Wagner. Also in the collection are manuscripts and proofs for Cerf's books including "The Laugh's on Me""Treasury of Atrocious Puns""The Sound of Laughter""Stories to Make You Feel Better", and "At Random: the Reminiscences of Bennett Cerf", which was edited by Phyllis Cerf Wagner and Albert Erskine, 1977. The papers also include condolence letters written at the time of Cerf's death, photographs and photo albums,certificates and awards, and miscellaneous printed material, including Random House and Modern Library catalogues. Correspondence and appointment calendars containing brief notes of the daily activities of Fred Lazarus Jr. There are photocopies of letters from Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard M. Nixon and Dwight D. Eisenhower, as well as from various family members to Lazarus. The appointment calendars cover the period from 1948 through 1973

Most of the material in this collection relates to the North American Newspaper Alliance, Inc. There are 204 letters from seventy different correspondents including Bernard Baruch, Winston Churchill, Ernest Hemingway, and George Bernard Shaw. Every U.S. President from Theodore Roosevelt to Lyndon Johnson (with the exception of John Kennedy) is represented in this collection. Also, 393 letters representing Mr. Wheeler's side of the correspondence; and a group of miscellaneous items including a collection of clipped autographs formed by Elizabeth Wheeler.

A collection of documents signed by American presidents and bound together in a single volume. Every president, except Eisenhower and Nixon, is represented in the collection. The documents, which are mostly military and naval appointments, certificates of merit, etc. are routine in nature, but an autographed copy (printed) of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's second inaugural address and a signed mimeographed copy of Lyndon Baines Johnson's speech to Congress, November 27, 1963, are also included.

This collection is made up of Margaret Young's professional papers, writings, personal and professional correspondence, biographical material, and photographs. A significant portion of the material, including a number of photographs, documents the career and commemoration of Whitney M. Young, Jr. There are several oversized items including photo albums, awards, and scrapbooks that relate to Margaret Young's professional activities and travels. The files span Margaret Young's lifetime, but most of the material documents her activities after Whitney Young's death in 1971.

The collection consiste of correspondence, memoranda, reports, bulletins, clippings, photographs, awards, and printed material. The files, arranged by genre and topic and reflect her philanthropic and legislative work in the areas of health, specifically cancer, heart disease, and mental health. Her civic and legislative work is covered in detail, as well as her private interests and activities.

ROVS North America (ROVS-N.A.) Records consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs, organizational records, subject files, and printed materials. There are also papers of the Paris-based Sovet Rossiiskogo Zarubezhnogo Voinstva (Council of the Russian Military Abroad) and other emigre military and political organizations active in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and South America. The cataloged correspondence includes letters by Evgenii Miller, Nikolai Tsurikov, Aleksandr Kutepov and other emigre figures and by Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, Barry Goldwater and other prominent American politicians. Arranged correspondence series consist of general office files, Paris-New York files, correspondence of Aleksei von Lampe and Vladimir Vitkovskii and topical correspondence files. Among the manuscripts are short articles and reminiscences by various people. There are photographs of Evgenii Miller, Nicholas II and of emigre organizational gatherings during the 1950s and 1960s. The organizational records include circulars, bulletins, orders, memoranda, reports, publications and financial records for ROVS and the Sovet Rossiiskogo Zarubezhnogo Voinstva. Subject files concern such topics as the Elisavetgrad Military Academy, the Union of the First Kuban Campaign, the Gallipoli societies, the Ingermanlandskii Regiment and the Russian Anti-Communist Center in New York. The printed materials include a book by Boris Kuznetsov and publications and circulars from other emigre organizations.

The collection consists of the editorial and production archives of Vanguard Press: correspondence, manuscripts, contracts, memoranda, galley proofs, photographs, clippings, and printed materials. The correspondence and editorial files contain a wealth of detailed information about individual authors and the growth and development of the Press.
