The collection consists of 8 record storage cartons, with materials dating back to London England, in 1801. It includes letters, newspaper clippings, diaries, and photograph albums.

Paul D. Colford is a newspaper journalist who covered the media during the so-called "newspaper wars" that lasted in New York City from roughly 1985-2005. Colford wrote the "Ink" column for New York Newsday until 2000 and then joined the Daily News and launched the twice-weekly "Hot Copy" column, which focused mainly on NYC's publishing industries — newspapers, magazines and books.

This collection includes a short typed biography of Bert'e-Delagard (titled "Autobiographical note") with holograph edits; photographs of Bert'e-Delagard, his sister Sofiia L'vovna and Aleksandra Karlovna Barantsova; lists and photographs of ancient jewelry items found in the Greek cities on the shores of the Black and Azov seas from Bert'e-Delagard collection; architectural plans of Bert'e-Delagard house; 1918 issue of Izvestiia︡ Tavricheskoĭ Uchenoĭ Arkhivnoĭ Kommissiĭ dedicated to Bert'e-Delagard; publication of Bert'e-Delagard article "Proshloe Koreiza."

This collection chronicles the history of three generations of Russian-American Jewish family spanning most of the 20th century. It includes personal correspondence, photographs, personal documents, unpublished writings and journal and newspaper clippings.

Bill Gallo (1922-2011) was the sports cartoonist at the (NY) Daily News for over fifty years, in a newspaper career lasting 70 years. He collected numerous honors, including the Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Cartoonists Society, the New York Newspaper Guild's Page One Journalism Award (twenty times), and the National Cartoonists Society's Sports Cartoon Award (ten times). He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame for both his cartooning, and his sports writing.
