The papers document the audio and video productions of performance theatre pieces, and other ephemera of performances and readings, photographs (contact sheets and negatives), publicity images; portraits; personal snapshots taken on tour, with members of Latinarte/Ay Ombe and other musicians; artwork, and teachings. In addition, the archive contains journals, business records, draft manuscripts and typescripts of her poetry, novels, and important newspaper clippings reviewing her work.

Joseph Elliot Slater was an American economist, internationalist and intellectual entrepreneur born in 1922. He died in 2002 of Parkinson's disease. Over the course of his lifetime, Slater was involved in a number of corporations, institutes, and government committees. From 1944-1954 he held a number of crucial post-war positions related to the denazification of Germany and the Allied High Commission. Throughout the twentieth century he worked as an economist and director of international affairs at a number of corporations including Creole Petroleum, the Ford Foundation and Volvo North America. While at the Ford Foundation Slater went on two details to work for the Executive Branch; first, as the Secretary for President Eisenhower's Commision on Foreign Assistance (the Draper Committee), and second, as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Education and Cultural Affairs during the Kennedy administration. Slater served as the President and the CEO of the Salk Institute from 1967-1972 and held the same positions at the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies from 1969-1986. After leaving the Aspen Institute, Slater served as the Chairman of the John J. McCloy International Center. In the final decade of his life Slater served as a trustee and member of the board of directors for a number of organizations related to education, science, the arts, and foreign relations. The material in this collection includes files and items from all of these eras of Slater's professional life. While much of this collection is related to Slater's various professional roles, there are personal files interspersed throughout the collection.

Professor of Political Science at Columbia (including several stints as Chair of the Department), 1955-1994, The collection includes archival ms. boxes and record cartons, as well as non-archival cartons. Each unit is accompanied by a detailed accession slip; boxes had no original numbering, so for surveying purposes, a number was penciled onto the accession slip and recorded as the original unit number. There is little to no organization of the material, which is mainly loose office paper (largely correspondence and manuscripts) housed in non-archival envelopes and folders, or loose, and bound academic journals and pamphlets. Most of the material covers the topics of Eastern European/Russian Studies, and there is much academic and administrative material as well. There is a significant amount of material in German, Russian, Polish; some Hebrew, French, and Spanish.

The collection consists of photographs for twenty buildings and models of five unrealized or partially realized project. Projects include markets, churches, factories, garages, a bus station, a bridge, a stadium, an airplane hangar, and an apartment building. The photographs are black and white and mounted to card stock. Each print includes a typed caption, which identifies and dates the project. The photographs are housed together in a clamshell box engraved with the title "La Arquitectura de Jose L. Depini." It is possible the photographs were use as a presentation album.

Linz's family and childhood as well as his education and his work as a political scientist and a professor.

The Julian Clarence Levi collection documents the life and activities of a twentieth century American architect and philanthropist. The collection consists of watercolor study drawings developed while Levi was a student at Columbia University and the École des Beaux Arts; architectural drawings, photographs and records for architectural projects designed and developed in association with his partner Alfred S. Taylor from 1907 until 1962; professional papers from various committees and societies Levi was associated with; personal papers and photographs, including documentation on his family and office, his academic and professional recognitions, public events, travels and social gatherings as a former Columbia alumnus; and various prints and photographs of buildings and European artists collected by Levi throughout his life.

These tapes contain Lockwood's questions, Castro's answers, and Vallejo's translation into English. An edited transcript of these tapes, signed, and dated by Castro, is included.
