The collection consists of correspondence, a diary, manuscripts, memoirs, notes, a subject file, photographs and printed materials. Correspondence is primarilly addressed to Orlov and his wife. Manuscripts and memoirs, chiefly by Orlov, deal with Civil War topics. Orlov's diary covers the years 1918-1921. Notes are on World War II, and the subject file concerns the death of Orlov. Photographs include a group picture of a Gallipoli Society meeting in Prague. Printed materials include clippings, mimeographed materials, pamphlets and copies of periodicals, all relating to the Gallipoli Society.

The Li Zongren papers consist of materials on the life and political career of Li Zongren dating from 1944-1951. The materials were given to the Chinese oral history project during the oral history interview with Li Zongren. The papers primarily documented the period when Li was the Acting President of the Republic of China from 1949 to 1951 in the U.S. urging for assistance to stabilize the internal conflicts in China.

The collection comprises materials authored by D'Arcy Hayman, including letters, invitations, essays, poetry, drawings, photographs, three monographs, proofs for one monograph, journals, and three scrapbooks. The three scrapbooks are referred to as 1, 2, and 3 (1 is a photo album, while 2 and 3 contain miscellanies: essays, drawings, poems, cards, photos, newsletters, conference materials, air travel documents, clippings, post-cards, festive cup holders, and a one-act play).

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, and an enormous number of notecards (that were collected over a twenty-year period for a proposed "Slovar' russkikh khudozhnikov") and several dozen notebooks containing entries to which the cards refer. Among the correspondents is Eugène Fabergé, whose letters contain information about the Fabergé dynasty of jewelers. Sakharov's manuscripts include essays on Ivan Bilibin, M. V. Rudaltsov, Mariia Bashkirtseva, Nikolai Globa and V. E. Borisov-Musatov. The cards containing information on artists are arranged alphabetically by artist and contain references to specific notebook entries. There are also bibliographic cards containing citations of articles on art in Russian and other languages. These are arranged by author. The notebooks are largely devoted to a particular artist or genre; others are designated by color and number, letter, number or not titled at all. There are also two sets of large notebooks which seem to belong to another series. There are a few photographs of artists (notably a 1939 photograph of Globa) and photographic reproductions of works by Bakst and Lukin among others. The collection contains approximately 11 exhibition catalogues dating from 1915 to 1940 and primarily relating to the exhibitions of Russian emigre artists in Paris. There are also 4 issues of "Illiustrirovannaia Rossiia" and some clippings dealing with Russian emigre artists.

The reference materials include collected books, periodicals, reports, letters, photographs, and news clippings. The collection mainly reflects Li Huang's political thoughts and his opposition to communism.

The Theodore Richards Conant Collection documents the life and film making career of Theodore Richards Conant, dating from 1949 to 2010, with the bulk of the materials dating from 1953 to 2000. The focus of the materials is on the Korean War, Korean culture and society. Materials in the collection consist of his personal papers and a substantial amount of audiovisual materials related to the documentary films created and/or collected by him during his career. The personal papers consist of clippings, ephemera, correspondence, scenarios, notes, catalogs, journals and other unique items. The photographs in the collection document Korea's political and cultural aspect, as well as Conant's work in Korea as a film producer while working in the UN Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA). The audiovisual materials are the documentaries directed and filmed by Conant, related to the Korean War, Korean society and culture.

The V. K. Wellington Koo papers document the diplomatic legacy of Wellington Koo as a Chinese statesman and diplomat of the 20th Century. The papers primarily consist of materials collected during Koo's diplomatic career, relating to the Lytton Commission, 1932-1933; the League of Nations, 1931-1940; the United Nations, 1944-1946; his ambassadorships to France, 1932-1941; to Britain, 1941-1946; to the United States, 1946-1956; as the Senior Advisor to the Republic of China from 1956; and as the Judge on the International Court of Justice, 1957-1966. The materials include correspondence, diaries, memoranda, manuscripts, documents, notes, speeches, maps, photographs, printed material, and audio visual material. The bulk of the materials emphasizes China's domestic and foreign affairs, such as the Sino-Japanese conflict, World War II and the Cold War in the Far East region, as well as the League of Nations and the United Nations.
