The Board of Friends subseries contains charters, correspondence, meeting minutes, and reports of The Board of Friends. This subseries also contains the records of the Fund Development Committee. Established by the Board of Friends in 1984, the Fund Development Committee organizes outreach activities for the DDC.

This series is comprised of two sub-groups: Donation and Grant Transactions, and Fundraising Activities. Arranged by account number, Donation and Grant Transaction files include receipts and correspondence that document funds received by the DDC. Fundraising files are comprised of grant proposals, correspondence, letters, and newsletters. Also in these files are quarterly and annual performance reports that were issued by the DDC in order to remain compliant with federal guidelines. Note that some grant proposals and performance reports are located in the Upward Bound and Talent Search series. Information regarding benefits and the Fun Run, created to help raise funds for the DDC, is also included in this subseries.

This subseries consists of correspondence, essay and speech topics, along with applications for the Elizabeth H. Piper Scholarship. Established in 1984 by philanthropist Elizabeth H. Piper, this scholarship provides funds to a select number of DDC students for college tuition.

This subseries contains executive board files, which are made up primarily of correspondence between board members and other human rights groups, CCS members, and scientists. They discuss wide variety of topics, including current human rights issues and event planning. The subseries also holds memos that the board distributed to members, such as summaries of meetings, announcements of upcoming activities, and information about CCS decisions and official positions on issues.

This subseries contains materials representing the public face of the Committee, including the CCS newsletter "Current," newspaper articles about CCS, copies of press releases that drew attention to human rights violations and reported what actions CCS had taken, and printouts of articles and information pages written for the CCS website.

This small subseries contains the Committee's statement of purpose and bylaws and a file of information about CCS records sent to the Anti-Defamation League for retention.

Subseries 1: 3-D research contains material related to Rothstein's prolific work in the areas of color and three-dimensional photography during the 1960s and 1970s, including his efforts to develop new techniques for shooting and printing stereoscopic and parallax images. Articles and clippings range from excerpts from scientific treatises and reports on optical illusion and depth perception, patents for parallax stereograms and panoramagrams, instruction manuals for wide-angle and three dimensional photography, and various magazine and newspapers articles. Some of this material is in French and German. There are several folders of correspondence, mostly inter-office memoranda members of Look and Cowles Communications, Inc. The series also contains numerous examples of 3-D photographs collected by Rothstein, and unused materials and supplies (mostly screens and transparencies).

Subseries 1: Landscape, Natural environment contains images of rock formations at Arches National Park and petroglyphs at the Newspaper Rock State Historic Monument in Canyonlands National Park.
