Description

Summary

This collections contains the records of the American Council on Education (ACE) received by the Office of the President. For additional ACE records, please consult Central Files (UA#0001).

  • American Council on Education records, 1969-1976

    The American Council on Education records include a number of surveys, Higher Education and National Affairs newsletter, and reports shared with college and university presidents. Some of these titles include: The use of injunctions in cases of student disorders; Discrimination Against Women in Colleges; Rating of Graduate Programs, Patterns of Giving to Higher Education; War Protest on US Campuses during April 1972; Intercollegiate Athletics; Minorities in White Colleges. There are also updates from the Committee on Taxation and the Special Committee on Campus Tensions and materials related to the Presidents' Institute events. These records were received at the President's Office in Low Library during Presidents Andrew Cordier and William J. McGill's tenures. Materials are organized chronologically.
