Series III: Events, 1962-1991

This series contains the records related to events held by the Alumni Association. There events take place during national and regional association meetings (e.g., American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association) but also local alumni events such as the annual Law Symposium, the Winter Luncheon, and the Stone-Agers Luncheon. Midtown Luncheons

Alumni luncheon, usually with a faculty guest speaker. The event was often held at the Paul Revere Chop House. Guest speakers included Walter Gelhorn, Abraham Sofaer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Theodore Sorenson, etc.

Stone-Agers Luncheons

The Stone Agers originally included alumni and friends of the Law School from the period of Harlan Fiske Stone's deanship at Columbia (1910-1923). The group evolved to include members of classes more than 50 years out of Law School.

Symposium

This annual event, sponsored by the Columbia Law School Alumni Association, features speakers and panels over the two-day event. It also includes the annual meeting of the alumni association, the presentation of the Medal for Excellence and the class reunions. The Symposium files contain arrangement, planning and logistical information. There are financial records, publications, programs, tickets, agendas, and correspondence.
