Series I: Professional Subject Files, 1949-1991 (bulk 1972-1991)

Series I contains files pertaining to Aron's career as a financial advisor. They are divided into three subseries, with the bulk contained in Subseries I.1: Daiwa Securities Subject Files. Files include correspondence, reports on business and finance, press clippings, and media appearances. A small amount of material is in Russian and Japanese.

Subseries I.1: Daiwa Securities Subject Files, 1972-1991

Sub-Series I.1: Daiwa Securities Subject Files, 1972-1991 were grouped together at accession and labeled by Aron as the "D" file. They mainly contain material from Aron's time at the Japanese investment bank Daiwa Securities Group (1976-1991), though there are also files from Aron's previous employment with the mutual fund company Dreyfus Corporation and the College Retirement Equities Fund (CREF). Files include correspondence with figures in the financial and business community, reports on business and finance (including Daiwa's biannual Paul Aron Reports, an analysis of business and financial issues and trends), press clippings, media appearances, and a copy of Aron's resume. Topics mainly pertain to Japanese finance and industry, especially robotics. These files also include Aron's course materials as an Adjunct Professor at the New York University Graduate School of Business.
