Series IX: Microfilms of rare monographic materials

The microfilms of rare monographic materials acquired from American and foreign libraries are available for use by certified members of the Columbia academic community. Non-Columbia researchers must apply to Professor Kristeller's estate for access (Lya Friedrich; 450 Park Avenue; New York, New York 10022. Some of these films are being held by Michael Stoller, and access to these unprocessed films is through him, and by appointment only. The right to photocopy or otherwise reproduce the films in whole or in part belongs to the owning institution before such copying is undertaken.

275 reels of microfilm of rare monographic materials acquired from a variety of American and foreign libraries. Reels are labeled with a "K" prefix, numbered 1-310. Each box has a brief description of contents. 38 reels are missing. The reels are arranged in a roughly alphabetical order by either proper name, place or title. An onsite card catalog (drawer 64D) provides author, title, and originating library. Note that these material are not cataloged in CLIO. See also box 91 of this collection for correspondence and lists related to the microfilm project.

You may submit a request for materials once your appointment is confirmed. Affiliates will login with their uni and password, and need to register the first time they make a request.
