Included are account books, business communications, letters, receipts, deeds, mortgates, personal and social correspondence of the Otis Nelson family, and letters of Lilly Nelson.

Otis Nelson was a businessman in the first quarter of the 19th century in New Gloucester and Minot, Maine. He apparently was in local politics serving for a time as selectman in the town of New Gloucester, and possibly in other capacities.
