Biographical sketch

Reeve was of partly British descent. In early 1918 her family left Moscow for the Ukraine, eventually coming to Odessa. After the Bolsheviks took control of Odessa later in 1918, she became an unofficial representative for British and Americans in the city. In early 1920, after the Whites and Allies had taken and again lost Odessa, she was evacuated to Istanbul. She subsequently went to England.
