Biographical / Historical

Mark Podwal (https://www.markpodwal.com/) is a New York Times illustrator, but his works on Jewish themes are extraordinary and truly what makes his work exceptional. Often mixing together the old and the new (a woodcut from a 17th century Book of Customs gets a contemporary twists), his art presents ideas and emotions in an incredibly poignant way.
