The collection documents human rights advocacy and events by Amnesty International Puget Sound (AIPS), as well as Local Group 4, and includes information on several campaigns, the Seattle Amnesty International Film Festival, and membership mobilization. The collection contains reports, printed webpages, clippings, and correspondence.
This collection contains documents on security, women's rights, events and work in the Seattle area, and Middle East advocacy. It remains in its original order. Extensive notes on the material were included by Ebersole and can be found in Box 1, folder 1.

Laurence H. Ebersole joined AIUSA as a member in 1985 in San Francisco, where he worked on Urgent Actions. In 1998 he moved to Seattle, and has worked there with Local Group 4 from 2000 to the present. He also works with AI of Puget Sound (AIPS), a cluster of all AIUSA local and student groups in the Puget Sound area. Ebersole's positions with AIPS have included Information Coordinator (2000-2003), Chair (2004-2007), and Interim Treasurer (2006-2007). Ebersole also served as a Steering Committee Member in Washington State AIUSA Ending Violence Campaign,; member of the Seattle Human Rights Film Festival Planning Committee (2002-2009). He currently serves as Area Coordinator in Washington State (2004-present), Meeting Facilitator for AIUSA Local Group 4 of Seattle, and human rights advocate with Edith Garwood's AI and AIUSA Working Group on Israel/Occupied Palestinian Territories/Palestine Authority (2012-present).
