A collection concerned with the various phases of black life in America, containing clippings, pamphlets, photographs, pictures, extracts from periodicals, and a representative group of approximately 350 letters, signatures, manuscripts, and documents. Among the letters are several each from Countee Cullen, Frederick Douglass, Alexander Dumas, fils, William Lloyd Garrison, Claude McKay, Abraham Lincoln, Henry Mencken, William Pickens, Albert A. Smith, and Booker T. Washington. Also, eighteen slavery documents.

E. S. (Edgar Simmons) Buchanan (1872-1932) was an Anglican minister, author, lecturer, and teacher. This collection contains correspondence largely relating to Buchanan's research into early Gospel manuscripts and his teaching career, as well as correspondence of a more social nature; material relating to Buchanan's writings and research on early Biblical manuscripts, ESB's writings about his research, papers associated with Bridport, England Reading Society, and other various writings including sermons, poetry, and autobiographical writings; clippings that relate to Buchanan's scholarly publications and publisher's notices announcing publication of Buchanan's books; as well as personal materials and legacy processing information.

The Primer Encuentro Latinoamericano de Cristianos por el Socialismo was a conference organized by a group of 80 Chilean priests (known as "Las Ochenta" and later as "Cristianos por el Socialismo"). The primary goals of the conference were to unite Latin American Christian groups across the church's hierarchical and denominational divides and to foster the integration of Christian and socialist ideologies. The PELCS records consist of reports, correspondence, publications, and other materials relating to the conference, including essays on the conference's 10 themes: 1. Underdevelopment, dependence and the transition to socialism in Latin America; 2. Mobilization of the masses; 3. Conditions for a strategic alliance between Christians and Marxists; 4. Ideology and religion, cultural revolution and the Christian faith; 5. Class struggle, ethical positions and obstacles for Christians; 6. Christian institutions and ideology, a critical evaluation; 7. Political action and faith, liberation theology; 8. Popular parties, unions, and pragmatic Christianity; 9. Field-labor movements and church initiatives; 10. The middle class, women in the revolution, and the Christian factor.

Established in 1926, China Institute in America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to deepening the world's understanding of China through programs in art, business, culinary, culture, and education. The processed portion of this collection showcases the early years of the Institute's operations, bulk dating between 1931 and 1959. Materials consist of administrative records, correspondence, reports, and manuscripts. The entirety of the collection, which includes records from the 1960s and onwards, is expected to be made available in the fall of 2024.

The Chinese oral history project collection (中國口述歷史項目檔案) provides a wealth of information on the development of the project and its interviews with eminent Chinese political figures abroad in the United States and Hong Kong from 1958 to 1980s. The completed interviews are described separately under the Chinese oral history project, while this collection provides context of creation for the interviews and additional historical documentation on interviewees. The highlights of the collection consist of the administrative subject files, correspondence, interview photographs and reports, transcript drafts, collected autobiographies and manuscripts, audio recording, and card files of names mentioned in the transcripts.
