Abstract Or Scope: Series III consists of financial statements, annual reports, staff meeting minutes, contracts, author information forms, publication schedules, reviewer lists, and black and white photographs of Grove Press offices on the corner of Mercer and Bleecker Streets in Greenwich Village. Included are documents pertaining to charges against Grove Press and its journal Evergreen Review for sexual discrimination of female employees as well as sexism, racism, and exploitation of children in Grove Press works.

Represented here as well are letters to Whiteside over the course of his career which are unrelated to a specific article or book. This series also contains material related to the MacArthur Fellowship that Whiteside won in 1986. There is an undated school notebook containing notes and a Toronto Public Library card from 1940.

There is also one folder of business correspondence, "Film 66 May," that is related to H. Bogin & Son, Inc. After 1988, Bogin's affairs were handled by his widow, Ruth Bogin. There is some additional correspondence filed with Bogin's poetry files. These files are noted in the container list for Series III: Poetry.
