The collection includes Drix Duryea and Mattie E. Hewitt photographs of the Kathrin Samstag Hochschild and Walter Hochschild residence designed by Pleasance Pennington (architect) on the 16-18th floors of Emory Roth's 1200 Fifth Avenue apartment building. Built by Joseph Ravitch (developer), the triplex penthouse included a particularly notable outdoor playhouse/gazebo and dance floor.

Architectural drawings and specifications for Codman's projects, circa 1890s-1930s, including the Martha Codman house in Washington, D.C.; alterations for Edith Wharton and her husband at their three residences, the Mount in Lenox, Mass., Land's End in Newport, R.I., and their Park Avenue home in New York City; work for the Thayer family of Boston, Mass., specifically Nathaniel Thayer's three homes in Boston, Lancaster, Mass., and Newport, R.I. ("Edgemere"), Bernard Thayer's Beacon Hill houyse in Boston, and Eugene Van Rensselaer Thayer's two houses in Boston and Lancaster, Mass.; the Lucy Dahlgren house in New York City; the Archer M. Huntington house on Fifth Avenue in New York City; interior design for John D. Rockefeller in his house "Kykuit" at Pocantico Hills, N.Y.; interior design work for the Vanderbilt family including Cornelius Vanderbilt's "Breakers" at Newport, R.I. and Frederick William Vanderbilt's mansion in Hyde Park, N.Y. and his house on Fifth Avenue in New York City; Oliver Ames' mansion at Pride's Crossing, Beverly, Mass., and his house in Boston; and interior decoration and alterations for Codman's own homes in Newport, R.I. and Roslyn, N.Y. and his villa in France, "La Leopolda", at Villefranche-sur-Mer. Also, lists, descriptions, and postcards of French chateaux, with related correspondence, circa 1900s-1930s, relating to Codman's bibliography on the chateaux of France; and miscellaneous lists of houses in England and France, correspondence, and printed material.

This collection includes a significant number of original and reprographic interior design and architectural drawings for interiors designed by Jac Lessman throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Records are primarily for hotel, restaurant, club, and resort commissions. Also included are office files and scrapbooks related to his projects and business practices. Noted projects include Wilbur Clark's Desert Inn and the Stardust Hotel and Casino, both in Las Vegas, Nev.; the Hotel Manhattan, the Hotel St. Moritz, and the Hotel St. Regis, all in Manhattan; the Barclay Hotel in Philadelphia; the Virgin Isle Hotel in St. Thomas; the Casino Internacional at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba in Havana; the Beverly Hills Country Club in Newport, Kentucky; the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, La.; and several projects for Henry J. Kaiser.

Collection contains watercolor renderings, sketches, technical drawings (ground plans, elevations and details), photographs, glass plate and acetate negatives, scrapbooks, set models and some related papers covering Urban's career in Vienna and New York as an architect, set designer, decorator and illustrator. There is a thorough representation of his New York career including his set designs for Florenz Ziegfeld (1915-1932) and the Metropolitan Opera (1917-1933). The collection also contains information on Urban's work for William Randolph Hearst as art director for Cosmopolitan Studios, his exhibitions including his 1921 Wiener Werkstätte store, and his many architectural projects. Biographical information and research gathered by Richard Cole and Randolph Carter including contributions from his daughter,Gretl Urban, and biographical notes and some letters from his widow, Mary Urban, are also present.

Youngling's drawings of architectural decorations and ornaments for ceilings and walls in largely unidentified buildings, presumably in New York City.

This collection primarily contains original and reprographic architectural records, photographs, correspondence and personal and professional records related to the design, construction, and ownership of the Haus Cramer in Dahlem, Berlin, Germany, designed by German architect Hermann Muthesius in 1911-1913 for Hans and Gertrud Cramer, with later additions by Muthesius and other architects. A significant portion of the collection also documents the Cramer family's efforts to obtain restitution after World War II for the seizure of the house in the 1930s. Also included are records documenting the restoration and reuse, an effort led by noted architectural historian Julius Poesner.
