James Yen and the IIRR concerned with the development, sharing, and financing innovative methods of teaching, improving agriculture, health and family planning, and education in impoverished villages. Included are designs for Fort Belvedere, circa 1750; a competition design for a mansion house, London, submitted 1737; Woodcote Park, Surrey, circa 1750s; 6-7 Abingdon Street, London, built circa 1740s; alterations, circa 1732-1733, at 10 Downing Street, London; designs, possibly for London Hospital.

Also, architectural drawings and photographs for other buildings at Columbia, including Bard Hall, Kent Hall, National Hall, South Hall, and Low Library; as well as drawings for buildings elsewhere in the United States and El Salvador.

This collection includes Giorgio Cavaglieri's preliminary studies, working drawings, presentation drawings, and specifications, circa 1962-1965, for his renovation of the Jefferson Market Courthouse into a library. Also, prints of drawings, 1876, by Vaux and Withers for the original building, and drawings, circa 1918-1940, for alterations.
