This series contains records relating to the educational aims of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast, including memorandums to the Synod of the Presbyterian Church that address integrating the church and Christian doctrine with the customs and society of the local tribes.

This series contains a handwritten manuscript in the Telugu language, thought to be a Buddhist primer, as well as correspondence from 1936 written by Fleming and Missionary Research Library staff regarding this primer. Two of Fleming's shorter writings are also included: his pamphlet "The Missionary Occupation of India" from 1918 details Christian missionary presence in India, and his booklet "Education through Stone and Glass" circa 1949 discusses the religious symbolism of the architecture of UTS. Also included are two photographs, one of Booker T. Washington and C. F. Andrews, and the other of Deaconess Ellen Lakshmi Goreh, the daughter of Nehemiah Nilankantha Goreh, an early convert in India.

This series contains 4 issues from 1916 of Dai Kokumin, an anti-Christian, Japanese nationalist publication, as well as a bibliographic card and clipping. The issues are numbered 7:82 - 7:85, implying that the periodical had been published for 65 years before its initial appearance, yet it was first registered with the post office on June 15, 1916. Contributors include the minister of education, presidents of universities and university professors, high-ranking military officers, commercial leaders, nobility, and legal officials. Each issue has a typewritten translation into English of the table of contents pasted in to the front of the issue.

This series contains material including news articles and clippings, journals, denominational resources, notes, and papers that are not clearly related to other series and in subject areas of particular and ongoing interest to Russell. These areas are: biblical hermeneutics (especially issues pertaining to authority, inclusivity and liberating exegesis), church and society (encompassing Christianity in public life, church mission and ministry, ecclesiology, ecumenism), education, feminism and feminist theology, liberation (including feminist, LGTBQ, Third World and other approaches, and issues of human and equal rights), and ministry and vocation (especially regarding women in ministry). Two additional subject headings included are theologians (Moltmann, Rahner, de Chardin, Soelle) and economics (Christian ethical engagement with).

This series contains information on the various committees and special programs run by the EHPP. The Parish Council and Staff Committees ran the following committees: strategy, Parish Acres, education, school and colleges, Church life, Narcotics, Christian economics, Friendly Town, and Personnel. The Special Programs were Parish Acres, Narcotics Clinic, Legal Aid, Credit Union, Medical Clinic, Casework Referral, Conservatives, and Dominoes. Materials include reports and other committee records, surveys and interviews, correspondence, writings, information on individuals treated, budgets and financial records, educational and worship resources, and other materials.
