Correspondence, minutes, reports, documents, financial records, surveys, publicity files, and printed materials. The correspondence consists of general files, information, and correspondence about surveys on career patterns of women in publishing. The documents include incorporation papers and related information, membership lists, data on local chapters, reports of the board, minutes of annual meetings, and the elections of officers. The printed materials are chiefly issues of the NEWSLETTER

Correspondence, manuscripts, reports, slides, records, film and card files, and scrapbooks. The papers reflect Lindsay's various activities and are arranged in two sequences, an alphabetical name file and an alphabetical subject file. Since many of the subjects are closely related, the division between them is not always very sharp. Among the subjects covered are: social legislation, I.L.O., National Child Labor Committee, prohibition, labor, Republican National Committee, Institute for Social Research, League of Nations, humane legislation, housing, Harmon Foundation, Educational Radio Corporation, and the Bergh Foundation. Boxes 167-169 contain the files of the Committee for Industrial Relations, 1912-1914

Typescripts and printed copies of papers presented at the New York Philosophical Club, including papers by John Dewey and Bertrand Russell. Also, a manuscript volume of including meeting minutes, correspondence, attendance, speakers at the Club, dating from 1900 to 1919, is also included.

Records of the North American Committee to Aid Spanish Democracy and Medical Bureau to Aid Spanish Democracy, two New York City-based American organizations working to raise funds and provide medical and humanitarian aid for the Republican cause in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), and to refugees who fled Spain after the defeat of the Republican forces in April 1939. The organizations formally merged in January 1938 and became known as the Spanish Refugee Relief Campaign. These files include the organization's official reports, correspondence, pamphlets, broadsides, photographs, and publicity material, as well as several scrapbooks of news clippings.
