Congressional papers consisting of correspondence memoranda, speeches, reports, photographs and printed materials relating to her terms in Congress. The collection contains general correspondence and administrative files, as well as extensive subject files on a wide variety of topics with which Abzug was involved while in Congress. Also included are Legislative files, being the chronological files of background material for legislation considered on the House floor, and printed versions of legislation by Abzug and others. The Casework Files, relating to Abzug's advocacy on behalf of constituents involved in civil rights, housing, military, employment and related cases, are closed. Among the major correspondents are Carl Albert, Abraham D. Beame, Hugh L. Carey, Gerald R. Ford, Edward I. Koch, John V. Lindsay, Nelson A. Rockefeller, and Gloria Steinem. Materials added in 1981 include: draft transcripts of an oral history, appointment books, speeches and subject files (particularly on privacy and freedom of information) all interfiled in the collection and campaign materials press releases and newspaper clippings.

Included are Cerf's personal correspondence files, 1929-1945, and the diaries and scrapbooks which he maintained from his school days throughout his active career. The diaries, in date-book format, contain terse notes on Cerf's meetings with authors and friends, on his travels and publishing activities; the scrapbooks contain correspondence and photographs, as well as memorabilia and printed items, and were annotated by Cerf and his wife, Phyllis Fraser Cerf Wagner. Also in the collection are manuscripts and proofs for Cerf's books including "The Laugh's on Me""Treasury of Atrocious Puns""The Sound of Laughter""Stories to Make You Feel Better", and "At Random: the Reminiscences of Bennett Cerf", which was edited by Phyllis Cerf Wagner and Albert Erskine, 1977. The papers also include condolence letters written at the time of Cerf's death, photographs and photo albums,certificates and awards, and miscellaneous printed material, including Random House and Modern Library catalogues. The collection is primarily correspondence files, both personal and professional, along with book reviews, awards and diplomas, letters of condolence on his death, clippings, and correspondence, manuscripts and printed materials relating to THE STREAM OF HISTORY. The correspondence relates specifically to the third edition. The manuscripts are typed and holograph inserts for the third edition and possibly for the second edition as well. Among the manuscripts are twenty-two notebooks containing holograph notes and drafts of chapters. The printed material consists of one copy of THE STREAM OF HISTORY, 1934 edition.

The papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, subject files, photographs, a sound tape, and printed materials. There are many letters from Anton Kartashev; other correspondents include Mikhaĭl Karpovich, Philip Mosely, and Vasiliĭ Zenḱovskiĭ. There are manuscripts by Kartashev, Karpovich, and George Vernadsky, as well as by Novit︠s︡kiĭ himself on the Orthodox Church and the emigration. Subject files touch on his organizational activities. There are photographs of Novit︠s︡kiĭ with Dwight Eisenhower, Nelson Rockefeller, and Jacob Javits, and also of Zenḱovskiĭ. The sound tape is an interview with Novit︠s︡kiĭ on Voice of America about his father-in-law, Georgiĭ Shavelśkiĭ. Some of the materials concern Novit︠s︡kiĭ's brother, Evgeniĭ, and wife, Marii︠a︡.

Larson's correspondence consists of professional correspondence relating to historical research; his work at the United States National Archives, including correspondence with Philip Hamer while preparing a special survey of archival materials in the U.S. Virgin Islands under a Works Progress Administration grant, 1936-1937; genealogical research; and personal correspondence with family and friends. Manuscripts by Larson relate to Alexander Hamilton, Bjørnson, Bjørnstjerne, Danish National Archives, archival research in the U. S. Virgin Islands, and the U.S. Army activities in Korea and in the Virgin Islands.

Included with the collection are campaign materials for other candidates, and campaign buttons for Samuels, Nelson A. Rockefeller, and others. Major correspondents include William Averell Harriman, Hubert Horatio Humphrey, LeRoi Jones, Edward I. Koch, John V. Lindsay, Robert Moses, and Edmund S. Muskie.
