Patricia S. Konstam, a 1959 M. Div. graduate of Union Theological Seminary, worked for 20 years as a business reporter for the San Antonio Express-News and as a freelance writer. The collection contains books from Konstam's private collection as well as numerous newsletters, magazines, and other denominational publications that are no longer in print and illustrate the efforts of religious professional and lay women to reconcile the women's liberation movement with their faith, and concerns such topics as: women in the church; women's liberation; and social justice issues. Titles include Genesis II, Lilith, The Jewish Women's Quarterly, Network Quarterly, and the Yellow Ribbon.

This collection contains the papers and records of Sister Aisha al-Adawiya, co-founder and executive director of Women In Islam, Inc., documenting her various efforts relating to Islam, gender equity, conflict resolution, cross-cultural understanding, and social justice, as well as Muslim and Black community life in New York City, interfaith organizing for social justice causes in New York City, small scale Muslim women's publications (newsletters, magazines); and local and small scale Muslim newsletters across North America. Includes correspondence, administrative and organizational materials, published materials, mixed media, and personal materials.

This collection contains typewritten copies of letters originally written by David Washington Cincinnatus Olyphant between 1827 and 1851. Olyphant was an American trader with offices in New York and Guangzhou, and a prominent supporter of the American missionary enterprise in China.

John Crosby Brown was a banker and a member of the Board of Directors of Union Theological Seminary in New York City. The collection contains correspondence, a program from the J. C. Brown memorial service, and a palm leaf Pali manuscript.

This collection contains material related to the Conference on American Relations with China held at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1925, and focused on issues such as extraterritoriality and tariff autonomy.

Caroline Worth Pinkham (1897-1984) was a UTS alumna 1933-1935, the first woman to receive a Ph.D. from Columbia and Union Theological Seminary in the History and Comparative Study of Religion, and a writer whose several years of living in India in the early 1920s and interest in women's status in scripture influenced much of her work. This collection contains a manuscript autobiography that includes correspondence and photographs, and manuscripts of a number of published and unpublished works by Pinkham.

This collection contains records of the Laymen's Missionary Movement (LMM), founded in 1906, which focused on helping churches with foreign missions, including minutes, reports, proceedings of committees and conferences, correspondence, publicity material, publications, photographs, and by-laws and legal documents.

Samuel Dodd was an American United Presbyterian missionary in Ningbo, China and Hangzhou, China; Samuel Thompson Carter Dodd was his eldest son, born in Ningbo, China. The collection contains a copy of Samuel Dodd's 1861-1877 journal typed and with notes by his son, as well as correspondence and photographs.

The Institute of Pacific Relations was created in 1925 to bring awareness to issues between the nations of the Pacific Rim. The collection contains minutes, reports, correspondence, conference records, committee and other administrative records, and newspaper clippings related to the Institute of Pacific Relations and its American Council branch.
