This collection contains books from Konstam's private collection as well as numerous newsletters, magazines, and other denominational publications that are no longer in print. Much of the material illustrates the efforts of religious professional and lay women to reconcile the women's liberation movement with their faith and concerns such topics as: women in the church; women's liberation; and social justice issues. Titles include Genesis II, Lilith, The Jewish Women's Quarterly, Network Quarterly, and the Yellow Ribbon.

Patricia Konstam donated her papers to the Archives of Women in Theological Scholarship in 1999 with a further addition of 1980 National Organization of Women Conference material in Sept. 2014.

Folded materials were flattened. Newspaper clippings were photocopied on acid free paper. Staples, rubber bands, and metal clips were removed and replaced with plastic clips. All materials were placed in acid-free folders and boxes. The finding aid was created by Leslie Reyman in 2001, updated by Ruth Tonkiss Cameron in 2004, and edited by Leah Edelman in 2022.

Patricia S. Konstam, a 1959 M. Div. graduate of Union Theological Seminary, worked for 20 years as a business reporter for the San Antonio Express-News and as a freelance writer.
