This collection includes research papers, photographs, notes, and manuscript material compiled by Keith Morgan during his research on American architect Charles Adams Platt.

The collection consists of legal papers, invoices, correspondence, project reports, specifications, publicity material and some photographs. Projects represented in the collection include New York Zoological Park / Bronx Zoo, Dallas Zoo, Seneca Park Zoo, Beardsley Zoo (Bridgeport, CT), Norfolk Zoo, Cleveland Zoo, Rochester Zoo, Public School 45 (Brooklyn, NY), Lamberton Conservatory (Rochester, NY), New York Psychiatric Institute Division Laboratories, Morrisville College (Morrisville, NY), and Delaware County Office Building (Dehli, DE).

The collection consists of 10 student drawings completed by Lydia Patterson while attending Columbia University's School of Architecture. The majority of the drawings are gouache and watercolor with graphite and ink on paper, dated circa 1928 to 1930. The collection contains 290 drawings by American architect William Gehron for projects in the New York area. Projects represented are: Queens Borough Hall, 1939-40 (74 drawings); P.S. 191, 1952 (25 drawings); Convalescent Day Camp, Welfare Island, 1937 (15 drawings); Micellaneous Housing Projects, 1935 (25 drawings); Proposed Plaza for Broadway and 122nd Street, 1936 (1 drawing); World War II Memorial in Watermill, Long Island, NY, 1950 (6 drawings); Harlem Hospital OPD, 1939 (77 drawings); Studies for MacDonald Observatory, 1931 (28 drawings); and Utica State Hospital, 1949 (41 drawings). An rendering by Hugh Ferriss of the State Educational Building and Memorial Pylons in Harrisburg, PA was donated in 2004 (acq. 2004.005).

The collection provides primary documentation of the material design and construction of a mansioned commissioned by the lawyer A. Frank B. Chace and located at 5 Willard Place in Hudson, N.Y. Included are two versions of Croff's "General specifications for the enaction, construction and all requiste material.." (June 1874); two draft proposals and final 26 page contract, with detailed specs, for building the house made with Morris & O'Connor, of Rhinebeck, N.Y. (October 1874); 18 pieces of correspondence, both brief and detailed, from Croff to Chace, with one regarding his book and including a printed prospectus of it; a full run of payment receipts from builders Morris & O'Connor; and a small batch of bills for various materials relating to the house.
