Many of the textbooks in this series were collected by and written by film historian Komatsu Hiroshi/小松浩. The subseries contains documents for textbooks, manuals for film equipment, handwritten manuscripts and lecture transcripts by Komatsu Hiroshi, as well as photographs related to camera technique and textbooks. This subseries also includes pre-war magazines related to technique, education, and lighting, with those items organized in alphabetical order by title and listed at the end of this section.

The subseries also includes user manuals, promotional brochures for film equipment from the 1980s (16 mm sound projector, VHS video, Sony) as well as conference programs for video technology.
