This collection contains correspondence, memorandums, reports, financial records, clippings, and other administrative documents relating to the Barnard College and Columbia University relationship. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence and memorandums relating to the state of the Barnard College and Columbia University relationship during a time of flux, in which the institutions were considering restructuring the relations between one another.

Access and use

Restrictions:

Some materials in this collection are restricted as they contain discussion of faculty salaries and tenure. These materials have been removed and replaced with markers indicating their placement in the order of documents.

Terms of access:

Permission to publish material from the collection must be requested from the Barnard Archives and Special Collections. The Barnard Archives and Special Collections approves permission to publish that which it physically owns; the responsibility to secure copyright permission rests with the patron.

Photocopies or scans may be made for research purposes.
