Biographical / historical:

The Budget Review Committee, composed of students and faculty, formed in the fall of 1971 to allow for student and faculty oversight of budgeting processes (see Barnard Bulletin, March 9, 1972, page 8). They originally were involved in reviewing the budges once they were completed. Sometime in 1977/1978, they were invited to take a more active role in budget formation. However, the committee was critiqued by students because it only considered student perspectives "in name only." https://digitalcollections.barnard.edu/do/7ff9abdd-2f05-46e1-8131-db3d3ad439f6 The name of this committee changed around 1983 to the Resources and Planning Committee. The current name and status of this committee is unknown.
