The Tingfu Tsiang papers contains materials relating to Dr. Tsiang's life and his career as a Representative to the United Nations and an Ambassador to the United States, between 1942 and 1965. Materials included are correspondences, memoranda, press release, documents, statements, and news clippings.

This small collection consists of letters and reports, chiefly drafts, relating to the Reverend John Mitchell Mason's involvement with Columbia College as a Trustee, 1795-1821 and Provost 1811-1816.

Henry Boynton Smith (1815-1877) was a Congregational Presbyterian minister, theologian, and Union Theological Seminary professor and librarian. The collection contains correspondence, clippings and scrapbooks, notebooks from his studies in Germany, notes for his courses as well as student notes, and sermons.

The Hu Shih diaries comprises six microfilm reels of diaries by Hu Shih, a Chinese philosopher, essayist, educator, scholar, and diplomat of the 20th century. Materials include in the collection are Hu Shih's diaries, which contain correspondence, news clippings, lecture notes, letters dating from 1921 to 1935, as well as the writings of Hu Shih's father, Hu Chuan, who was a civil official of the Qing Imperial Court.

The Shuhua Li papers consist of incoming letters from Chinese education administrators to Li Shuhua dating from 1926 to 1972. Also included are letters from Wu Zhihui (吴稚晖) and Li Shizeng (李石曾)， Cai Yuanpei (蔡元培) and Hu Shih (胡適). The topics discussed in the letters include higher education policies, changes in the various universities, and political changes in China as well as other personal matters.

The Chiu Chung-wei correspondence consists of outgoing and incoming letters and telegrams from and to Chiu when he was the Secretary of the President serving under the Acting President, Li Zongren, from 1949 to 1950. Other materials also include newspaper clippings and memoranda.

The Tsuyee Pei papers document Pei's professional and personal life and provide a glimpse of his career in East Asia and North America during the last years of WWII and the years immediately following. The bulk of the papers consists of correspondences, memoranda, cables and telegrams, and other career files from between 1943 and 1949. These materials highlight Pei's role as first, the general manager of the Bank of China, then, the governor of the Central Bank of China, and offers great details on the development of the banking system in China, wartime aid and relief, foreign exchange market, and international business and economic cooperation. Other materials include newspaper clippings, greeting cards, and printed matter.

The David Lloyd collection on Lao She consists of records relating to the publications and translations of Lao She's work during and after his stay in New York, dating from 1946 to 1957. Materials in the collection include correspondence, accounts, manuscripts, and a portrait of Lao She.

The Chen Lifu papers (陳立夫檔案) mainly document his involvement in Chinese politics during the Republican era, dating from 1926 to 1989, with the bulk dates from 1926 to 1951. The papers consist of correspondence, portrait, meeting documents, reports, plans, speeches, writings, memoir, and printed materials. The papers focus on Chen Lifu's political career as the Head of the Central Bureau of Investigation and Statistics and the Minister of Education, as well as his general involvement in politics dating from 1926 to 1949.
