This small collection contains primarily project records--including drawings, files, reports, correspondence, and photographs--related to the architectural practice of Kenneth Coles. The majority of projects, including commercial, institutional, and residential, are located in New York State, with a few commissions for Citibank and Grindlay's Bank and for private residences located overseas.

Also, typescripts of lectures delivered by Boring in architecture courses at Columbia, 1932-1933, miscellaneous typescripts of articles and printed materials, 1930-1933, and a typescript of Boring's autobiography, MEMORIES OF THE LIFE AND WORK OF WILLIAM A. BORING, circa 1937. Also included are four sketches by Henri Gauthier, Edward Tilton, Maurice Sashin, and Joseph Laudin.

The two drawings, entitled as "Drawings of Steel and Concrete Amusement Hall on New Pier for Associated Realties Corporation" are by H.A. Stout for his 1906 design efforts to build the Steeplechase Pier, an amusement pier building in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The two drawings present the front and rear elevations and a longitudinal section for the famous amusement pier building filled with amusement arcades, popular rides, and live entertainment for beach vacationers. Stout's architectural plans were likely intended to be used onsite as well as in the architect's planning office.

This collection contains architectural drawings, and some supplementary archival materials, for buildings primarily designed or altered by Sylvan Bien alone or in partnership with his son, Robert L. Bien. Most of the projects represented in this collection are apartment buildings located in New York City, particularly on the Upper East Side, with some work in surrounding regions and states. In several cases, drawings by the original architect for buildings later altered or studied by Bien are also included in this collection. Lastly, a small group of drawings created by Robert Bien while with Eggers Group is also included.

The collection is made up of Katherine C. Moore's research files on the careers of Trowbridge and Livingston. The files include Moore's notes, clippings, and sometimes photographs of the buildings designed by the firm. Projects that have photographs include, among others, Bankers Trust Company Building, the Banking House for J.P. Morgan & Co., Chemical National Bank, Empire City Savings Bank, Bank of America (Wall Street), Equitable Trust Building, Gulf Refining Building (Pittsburg, PA), Mellon National Bank (Pittsburg, PA), Nagoya Branch of the Mitsui Bank (Tokyo, Japan), Red Cross Memorial to the Women of the Civil War, and the John B. Trevor Residence (11 East 91st Street, NYC). The collection also includes certificates and diplomas of Goodhue Livingston, as well as a 1994 certificate of commendation from BELCA (Building and Equipment Life Cycle Association) for the Mitsui Bank in Tokyo, Japan; an issue of "The Architects and their Works" (Vol. 1, No. 4) on Trowbridge & Livingston dated 7 Nov 1908; and 10 architectural drawings for the Residence of Orme Wilson, Jr. Esq. on 11 East 64th Street (New York, NY).

Includes plans, elevations, and details of designs for the Library of Congress building. Also includes architectural drawings for various other projects designed by Casey.

This collection includes architectural drawings on linen, tracing paper, and paper, microfilmed drawings; photographic prints; a job list; and a small group of specifications and correspondence for the Ogden Reid residence. Buildings represented are primarily in New York City, with a few commisions built in the surrounding region. Projects include apartment buildings, private residences, offices, hotels, and hospitals.

This collection includes reprographic architectural presentation and working drawings for six projects for which Polish-American architect Henry G. Proskauer was draftsman, associated architect, or architect. Buildings represented include a student project for a proposed hotel on the Limmat River in Zurich (7 sheets, 1938); the Virgin Isle Hotel in St. Thomas, V.I., in collaboration with Harold Sterner, architect, Joseph Prisant, associate architect, and Jac Lessman, interior designer (19 sheets, 1949); the Hoffman residence in Stamford, Conn., for Hart, Jerman & Associates, architects (5 sheets, 1950); an unidentified radio station for Hart, Jerman & Associates, architects (2 sheets, 1951); the Liberty Life Insurance Home Office building in Greenville, S.C., for Carson & Lundin, architects (12 sheets, 1952-1953); and the Banco Nacional de Fomento/Banco Central de Honduras for Carson & Lundin, architects (5 sheets, undated).
