Series IV: Personal memorabilia, 1957-2018, undated

This series primarily consists of Heeley's personal correspondence (with friends, family, and colleagues, but also includes other memorabilia relating to Heeley's private life. Heeley's collection of personal photographs can be found in Series V. The divide between Heeley's professional and personal life was generally porous, and many of Heeley's colleagues in the theater industry were also his friends. Thus, some of Heeley's professional correspondence was found mixed in with his personal correspondence: This professional correspondence has been included in this series, maintained in the order in which it was found.

Subseries IV.1: Tanya Moiseiwitsch, 1957-2003, undated

This subseries contains material relating to Heeley's relationship with the British theater designer Tanya Moiseiwitsch. It primarily consists of correspondence, but also includes material relating to her passing in 2003 (such as letters of condolence, Heeley's obituary, programs for tributes) and some photographs. Tanya Moiseiwitsch was the inaugural designer for the Stratford Festival, and pioneered the Festival Theater's thrust-stage design. Heeley met Moiseiwitsch at the Stratford Festival in the 1950s, and they maintained a close professional and personal relationship. This subseries documents a 46-year creative exchange between these two designers, including cards, postcards, letters, faxes, and sketches. Heeley and Moiseiwitsch discuss the productions that they are working on, talk through various professional and personal difficulties, and document life at the theaters which employed them (including the Stratford Festival and the Guthrie Theater). Heeley's photographic portraits of Moiseiwitsch were found mixed in with other materials relating to their relationship: these photographs have been included in this subseries. Other photographs of Moiseiwitsch were interspersed in Heeley's broader photograph collection: these photographs have been arranged in Series V.
