DescriptionSummarySummary: Tape recordings of American, English, and Irish music hall and vaudeville stars from Wisely's collection of records of music hall and vaudeville productions, 1875-1940. The tapes, made at Brooklyn College ca.1965, divide the recordings into fifteen programs with such titles as Victorians, Edwardians, Comics, Impersonators. Performers including Lillian Russell, Gertrude Lawrence, Fanny Brice, Elsa Lanchester, and W.C. Fields are represented. Copies are also available at Brooklyn College.
