DescriptionSummaryResearch notes of Wettereau for his writings on the First Bank of the United States. The papers are rich in information about the economic, business, and political history of the Federalist, late Confederation, and early Republican periods, the Hamiltonian program, and the disputed election of 1800. Also, correspondence, miscellaneous notes, and the typescripts of three of Prof. Wettereau's works, THE HISTORY OF THE FIRST BANK OF THE UNITED STATES, STATISTICAL RECORDS OF THE FIRST BANK OF THE UNITED STATES, 1771-1811, and DEWITT CLINTON'S CANDIDACY FOR THE PRESIDENCY.
