The University Senate of the Methodist Church planned a survey of Wofford College Feb. 2-5, 1959. Dr. Myron Wicke, Dean, Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas, and Chairman of the Survey Committee extended an invitation to the librarian to serve as a member of the committee. The purpose of the visitation was to make a complete study of the college program in all its phases, administrative, financial, curriculum programs, library, etc. as part of the periodic survey of the Board, Higher Education of the Methodist Church.

At the invitation of Dr. Gordon W. Sweet, Executive Secretary, Commission of Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the librarian became a member of an Evaluation Committee to visit and study the University of Alabama in Birmingham with respects to the Standards of the College Delegate Assembly in preparation for admission as a member in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Date of visitation was set for April 12-15, 1970. The librarian was to evaluate the university libraries in terms of the Standards; a copy of his report and recommendations are included.
