At a Glance
This collection is arranged in seven series.
Correspondence, manuscripts, notes, printed ephemera, and photographs relating to Farrelly's research and writings on Alaska. A few items deal with Iceland and Labrador, but the collection is chiefly Farrelly's manuscripts for books, articles, and lectures on the history of Alaska, particularly early settlement by the Russians. The correspondence is with book and journal publishers, librarians, and others relating to his writings. There are several letters each from Maxwell Perkins and Vilhjalmur Stefansson. In addition to printed copies of all his writings, there are the photographs of Alaska that were part of a "Prints of Alaska" circulating exhibition held in 1943. Also, some genealogical files for the Farrelly and Slevin families.
