DescriptionSummaryCorrespondence, manuscripts, and drawings of Hare and his family. His letters concern the writing and publishing of his books and his many social relationships. There are the autograph manuscripts of the announcement of his book "Shropshire" and of his autobiographical essay "The Hare with Many Friends", as well as five original pencil and wash drawings of buildings in France, Germany, and Switzerland used as illustrations in his popular travel books. There are also several devotional manuscripts by other members of the Hare family.
