Manuscript memoirs of Viacheslav Vasil'evich Babushkin, dealing primarily with his career as an Imperial army officer in the Russian Far East during the Russo-Japanese War, and the years up to World War I; they also touch on the Civil War in the Far East. Biographical / Historical

Viacheslav Vasil'evich Babushkin, Major General of the Russian Imperial Army, was born on July 28, 1883, in the city of Kungur, Perm province. Education: 1894-1901 - Simbirsk Cadet Corps; in 1903 graduated from the Mikhailovskii Artillery School. Was drafted for military service in 1901. Veteran of the Russian-Japanese war and World War I (Trans-Baikal Cossack Artillery Division, 1914-1917). Participated in the civil war (the detachment of General Krasilnikov in 1918-1920). Emigrated from Transbaikal, arrived to Manchuria (Harbin) on 07.28.1920. After the death of his wife, he moved to Argentina to his youngest daughter (1950), then moved to the USA.
