This collection contains manuscripts of interlinear Tsimshian-English texts collected by Henry Wellington Tate (circa 1860-1914) in Port Simpson, British Columbia, between 1903 and 1914, at the request of anthropologist Franz Boas. Boas edited and published many of these texts in Tsimshian Mythology (1916). The collection also includes some supplemental material and a small amount of correspondence between Boas and Tate. Page-level description was created in preparation for potential digitization. Contact RBML for more information.
