Collection includes all drafts, including handwritten, through final versions of Thompson's published work including the book reviews, essays, stories and poems in nine of the most prominent journals of the time.

Content Description

John Thompson (1918-2002) was part of the vibrant, post-modern New York literary scene of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Thompson was a close friend and colleague of many of the other prominent literary and publishing figures of the era, including Robert Lowell, Elizabeth Hardwick, Peter Taylor, Lionel Trilling, Jason Epstein and Barbara Epstein.
