Stuart B. Schimmel (1925-2013) was a prominent book and manuscript collector who lived in Greenwich, Connecticut. He joined the Grolier Club, a private society for New York City bibliophiles, in 1961, and served on its Council from 1972 until 1986.
A. J. A. (Alphonse James Albert) Symons (1900-1941) was an English writer, book collector, and bibliographer. He is best known for his experimental biography of the writer Frederick Rolfe, "The Quest For Corvo." He founded the First Edition Club, which published limited editions of literary works and exhibited rare books and manuscripts, in 1922. He also established the "Book Collectors Quarterly" in 1930. Symons was an expert on English writers and literary publications of the 1890s, such as Oscar Wilde.
