2022-01-20 name of collection was change by the request of the creator's grandson, who insisted that previous name - Father John V. Vislocky papers - was an error. Authorities and notes revised, updated and expanded. KSD
Alexey Gabriel Vislocky (April 27, 1885 - October 3, 1956), pastor, son of Reverend Father Gabriel Vislocky (son of Reverend Father Anton Viszloczky and Victoria Kovaliczky) and Maria Dzubay. Father Alexey was ordained a Greek Catholic priest at Saint John's Greek Catholic Cathedral, Presov, Slovakia on August 28, 1909. He served the Greek Catholic village churches in Zavadka from 1909 to 1916 and Vyrava from 1916 to 1920. In 1920 he immigrated with his family to the United States. He was a pastor of St. Mary's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in New York.
