Description

  • Series I: Transcripts of Fellowship Talks

This series includes transcripts of 236 of Fellowship talks dating from 1948 until a few weeks prior to Wright's death in 1959. The format of the transcripts are unbound typescripts and are arranged chronologically. About 50 of those transcripts include manuscript annotations likely in Wright's hand. Audio recordings exist for nearly all of the talks represented in this collection. Associated reel numbers are listed under the title of the talk. Use the reel number to search for the corresponding digitized audio recording in Series III.

  • Series II: Transcripts of other talks, interviews and lectures

This series includes 57 transcripts of various talks, interviews and lectures given by Wright to a public audience. Associated reel numbers are listed under the title of the talk. Use the reel number to search for the corresponding digitized audio recording in Series III.

  • Series III: Audio Recordings

This series consists of 261 audio recordings (from 353 open audio reels), which have been digitized and are available online to Columbia affilates (and available to our public in our reading room). The recordings are listed under their associated reel number and are arranged in reel number order. To search the audio recordings, it is recommened that a researher use the transcript listing (Series I and Series II) to identify the talk they are interested in. Each trascript includes an associated reel number, which can be used to identify the related recording found in this series. For the most part, there is a recording for every transcript listed in Series I and Series II.
