    <head>Biographical sketch</head>
<p>Gleb Vasilievich Alekseev (pseudonym of Charnotskii; 1892-1938), writer, critic, folklore collector. 
Emigrated, settled in Berlin, where he completely devoted himself to literary work. He published a number of books, his works were published in many magazine. He was very active in the public life of "Russian Berlin." In 1923 he returned to the Soviet Union. Was arrested in 1938 and later executed. Rehabilitated in 1956.</p>  </bioghist>
