<p>Professional files of Seth Low Emeritus Professor of History at Columbia University, Volker R. Berghahn. Materials include documents related to Columbia's Institute for the Study of Europe (now European Institute) of which he was director, records related to his professional associations, and correspondence files (in English and German). Correspondence includes many letters focused on the major debates among historians of modern Germany in which he has been involved. Also files of articles, book reviews, lectures and obituaries written by Berghahn as well as teaching evaluations from his students.</p>  </scopecontent>
